The venue is in a secluded area on the stunning Matakana Wine Trail, allowing you the privacy and comfort to share the day with family and friends, without interruption and with complete focus from our experienced team.
We are able to provide a seamless flow of indoor and outdoor space to allow you and your guests the freedom to enjoy wine and canapes on our expansive deck, before being welcomed into the restaurant and the stunning Rengarenga Room for a dinner and evening you will cherish forever… simply perfect.
The restaurant can be configured to accommodate a large open wedding of up to 110 guests a la carte style, or split into more intimate areas for those looking to share their day with fewer guests. Our interiors provide an elegant and warm setting for you and your guests to enjoy the day in comfort and capture long lasting memories.
You will be treated to the very best in service, as the venue is designed to accommodate your wedding whether it features a formal sitting or an open food experience. While Plume’s menu essentially reflects local cuisine, it also celebrates New Zealand’s cultural diversity and new thinking based in an essentially rural vineyard setting. Below, we’ve outlined a sample menu.
Sample Wedding Menu
CANAPES: we suggest 2 cold and 2 hot canapes per guest
Cold: Sesame seared tuna with miso vinaigrette OR Salmon tartare, savoury pancakes OR Spicy chicken, avocado salsa OR Goat’s cheese log, red onion marmalade (vegetarian) OR Thai beef, Asian pickled salad
Hot: Manuka smoked salmon, apricot and lemon chutney OR Tender beef bites, smoked tomato relish OR Cocktail chicken satay OR Ratatouille, feta crumble (vegetarian)
3 Course, Choice of TWO MAINS, Dinner Menu:
Entre: Chef’s Tasting Platter of South Island cured salmon with citrus crème fraiche, avocado and goats cheese timbale, roulade of mixed berries and duck liver parfait

Matakana Wine
Plume is a vineyard restaurant, and as such provides its wines for weddings and other special occasions. Seldom are Auckland wedding venues nestled amongst grapevines with the rural countryside as your backdrop.
Enjoy some of the finest wines in New Zealand on your special day, produced only a stone’s throw away, which is an essential part of the whole experience. Our passion for wine drives us to create a truly iconic red wine that is appreciated amongst the world’s most discerning wine drinkers and a series of white quality varieties and a great Rose. We have the drive and the commitment to only produce the highest quality of wine; unless the year is an outstanding one we simply will not produce wine under our label.
Our commitment to great quality wines sees them in barrel for at least twelve months, often 24, and in bottle for at least 6 months, if not a few years, to ensure a well seasoned and balanced wine.
